Hello, I’m Jessica Morey-Collins. I am a poet, planner, and problem-solver currently working in the Pacific Northwest.

I write poetry about the human species as it interacts with (eco-, and auto-genic) systems, historically, the system of my body and its contexts.

In my public sector work, I help agencies and the communities they serve to become more resilient, compassionate, and dynamic. In this volatile moment, public servants have a unique opportunity to enhance agency operations and outcomes by working from the crux of:

  • strategic public input

  • accessible, multimodal communications

  • transparent, consistent administration

  • visionary goal setting, and

  • inter- and intra-agency collaboration

By operating within a structure of robust geospatial information, systems-level thinking, and participatory pedagogy, I provide high-impact solutions for agencies looking to support their communities with resilient public-sector services. By writing poetry from a nuanced, contextually considerate, and spatially situated point-of-view, I aspire to take the sorts of creative risks that expand readers’ imaginative landscapes and spark ongoing dialogues.
